What is intermittent fasting?

Intermittent fasting (IF) is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. It doesn't prescribe what to eat โ€” only when. The most popular approach is 16:8, where you fast for 16 hours and eat within an 8-hour window each day.

Which fasting protocol should I start with?

16:8 is the most beginner-friendly protocol. If you stop eating at 8pm and skip breakfast, you've already done a 16-hour fast. The app supports 16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD, 5:2, 24h, 36h, 48h, and custom windows so you can progress at your own pace.

What happens if I break a fast early?

Sessions where you eat before your target window are logged as 'Broken early' โ€” still recorded with the actual duration so your data stays honest. Broken fasts don't affect your streak, but they give you useful data on what triggers early eating.

How does the streak work?

Your streak counts consecutive calendar days on which you completed a fasting session that met its target hours. A broken session or a missed day resets the streak to zero.

Is my data private?

Yes. All your fasting sessions, mood logs, and weight check-ins are private by default. You can optionally mark individual sessions as shared, but nothing is public unless you choose it. We never sell your data or show ads inside the tracker.
